About
Creative Science and Arts Institute (CSAI)
CSAI is a research institute founded in 2021, that is dedicated to bring about our founding vision of a world where Scientific and Humanistic knowledge is unified and used to obtain creative solutions for society’s needs.
We aim to nurture, create and promote an inter-disciplinary approach between science, art, and design, in a quest to apply creativity in finding solutions to scientific and artistic problems, for the benefit of society at large.
Our main objectives are threefold:
- Explore the intersection between science, creativity and technology and attract world-class researchers, experts and practitioners to collaborate, partner and form part of CSAI.
- Explore questions related to the meaning of aesthetics, informed by science, art and philosophy.
- Explore questions related to the meaning of intelligence and creativity, with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence.
CSAI runs the CSAI Community Site to help foster and support co-operation between appropriate researchers, experts and practitioners while sharing knowledge about relevant processes, artefacts, techniques, events and interesting and notable people in relevant fields, creating an inter-disciplinary community of creatives, be it scientists and artists.
CSAI is actively seeking to participate, lead or manage relevant R&D projects that help in the achievement of CSAI’s objectives and vision.
Our community aims to apply scientific knowledge and processes to find and explore solutions to relevant technology, artistic expression, design and craftsmanship issues.
Our public outreach and educational activities focus on educating the public on the inter-disciplinary techniques and methods that are available and relevant, while helping to disseminate results and publications including the publication of books, journals, academic papers, articles and artwork.
CSAI also helps organise and participate in relevant events while administering the management of resulting artefacts, results, and Intellectual Property as a result of CSAI’s direct or indirect participation.
As a long-term, sustainable institute, we aim to establish a long-lasting presence that will bring about positive change in the Sciences and Arts.
